Fourth GIS Day for Education – December 11, 2020

For the fourth year in a row, the Space School celebrated the World GIS Day with an educational workshop dedicated to education and geospatial technologies.

The Fourth GIS Day for Education was held online on December 11, 2020 (Friday) and for the first time entirely online. The event is organized by the Space School Educational Initiative on the occasion of World Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Day, which is celebrated every year in November, and this year was celebrated on November 18, 2020.

The thematic  of this year’s educational workshop were dedicated to Bulgaria, GIS technologies and education. The event included lecture and discussion parts and was attended by more than 100 participants – students from primary and secondary school and teachers of geography, natural science, information technology from all over Bulgaria.
